The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC) is seeking a motivated, customer-focused leader to oversee daily operations at our Visitor Information Centre and the iconic World’s Largest Dinosaur attraction and gift shop. This is a dynamic, full-time role in one of Alberta’s top tourism destinations.

As a Tourism Services Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Tourism Services Manager and Executive Director to ensure smooth operations, excellent visitor experiences, and strong team performance. Your responsibilities will include:

Visitor Information Centre:

  • Greet and assist tourists with in-person, email, and phone inquiries
  • Maintain up-to-date tourism literature and local event listings
  • Track visitor stats and help coordinate bookings

World’s Largest Dinosaur & Giftshop:

  • Oversee daily opening/closing procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service and manage retail operations
  • Handle inventory, displays, and product merchandising

Facility Oversight:

  • Perform and/or monitor janitorial duties on a daily basis
  • Conduct regular facility audits to maintain high standards

Team Leadership:

  • Train, support, and schedule staff
  • Foster a positive, efficient, and guest-centric work environment

Social Media & Communications:

  • Monitor and help manage online social media presence
  • Collaborate on creative strategies to attract and inform visitors

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent customer service and cash handling skills
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail oriented and ability to problem solve
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new computer applications
  • Solid knowledge of tourism within Drumheller and area
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • First Aid certification and second language would be an asset

Employment Term: Permanent,full time including weekends and holidays

Compensation:
Starting wage $20/hour; extended health benefits and matching RSP available
