Growing Families Societyis a not-for-profit agency in search of a LIFE SKILLS COACH(0.2 FTE) to fill anon-union position with the Drumheller Growing Opportunities program.

  • Work individually withprenatal and postnatal moms in their home to address specific issues thatprevent or impede them from reaching their optimum potential in the area ofbasic daily life skills
  • Working in a team atmosphere with a Registered Nurse
  • Passion for working alongside moms to develop and strengthen their day to day living
  • Strong practical skills in maintaining a household, developing routines, and meal planning
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies an asset
  • Available to work 7 hours a week in the Drumheller area, on Thursdays

Skills Required:

  • Highly motivated mature individual who has well-developed organization, time management and communication skills, a self starter andrequires minimal supervision
  • Ability to provide hands on teaching
  • Minimumof 5 years experience in managing a household with children
  • Experience in advocacy with a special population a benefit
  • Health record stating AHS recommended immunizations are up to date at commencement of work
  • A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

This position is grant funded to March 31, 2026 with a possible 4 year grant extension; salary range is based on experience.
