About the Position
Seniors Outreach Program Society is seeking a highly motivated, community-minded individual to serve as Outreach &Program Support Coordinator on a term limited position. This position supports key operational areas including fundraising, transportation coordination, and Drop-In Centre portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative,detail-oriented professional with a financial background, a passion for fundraising, and the ability to work across departments and positively with community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Drop-in Center Portfolio
Under Board direction and in consultation with the Administrator, take lead on executing any actions related to the CommUnity Drop-In Centre.
- Provide monthly progress reports to the Administrator to be presented to the board
- Accumulate an inventory of the building, furnishings, electronics, artworks, and sales of any items
- Recruit and support volunteers for cleaning, events, and fundraising activities
Fundraising and Donor Relations
- Take primary responsibility for face-to-face donor engagement and outreach
- Serve as part of the Board’s Fundraising Committee as a staff member
- Take on organizing, promoting, and executing fundraising events and donor campaigns
- Assist in the Creation & Management of a fundraising database in collaboration with Digital Director
Transportation Coordination and Grant Support
Assist with Transportation Grant deliverables, acting as the point person on many aspects of the grant. Work in conjunction with staff and volunteers to ensure:
- Accurate data collection and grant reporting.
- Completion of all required submissions to grant providers alongside the Administrator.
- Attendance at online COP transportation-related meetings with funders and stakeholders.
- Work alongside the Administrative Assistant with regards to Transportation matters: including insurance, repairs, maintenance, volunteers, promotions on vehicles, safety.
- Financial oversight, data analysis, and planning tied to the transportation program. With assistance from the Administrator & Board Treasurer as required.
- Strategic planning to support the sustainability and enhancement of transportation offerings.
Program and Event Support
- Support the planning and delivery of community-based programs and events.
- Assist in volunteer coordination & recruitment for programs and fundraising initiatives.
- Maintain communication with community partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Background in finance, budgeting, and willingness to learn/familiarity with grant reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor development.
- Proven skills in event planning and logistics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in basic office software; comfortable learning new systems as required.
- Not required but helpful skills include: Data management software, CRM, Salesforce
Other Details
- This is a term limited position.
- As partial funding is sourced through grants additional duties may be assigned in relation to these responsibilities above.
- Travel related to the position is reimbursed at $0.61/km starting from Three Hills for fundraising activities.
- Office space and administrative support will be provided as needed.
