Children's Activity Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Children's Activity Coordinator to enhance the recreational fun for the kids in our seasonal RV Park.

The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and facilitate fun and engaging crafts, activities and games tailored to our summer lakeside RV Park. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the kids' daily experiences by fostering social interaction, education, emotional well-being and most of all fun.

We are a seasonal RV Park on the South Shores of Buffalo Lake and are interested in hosting you to support our family-friendly programming during the camping season. The primary role would involve planning and leading a children's craft & game time once/week preferably on Saturday mornings for 3 hours/session.

Responsibilities:

  • Design simple, engaging craft activities and games suitable for children of various ages staying at the RV Park. This may include nature-themed crafts, holiday or seasonal projects, and creative activities that encourage participation, creativity, and social interaction among campers.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages everyone's participation and enhances community spirit.
  • Monitor all during activities to ensure safety and provide assistance as needed.
  • Facilitate the craft & game sessions.
  • Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, music sessions, games, and outings.
  • Assisting with preparing materials, setting up and cleaning up the activity space and helping to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and families.
  • Maintain activity schedules
  • There may also be opportunities for you to contribute ideas for additional family-friendly programming or themed activity days throughout the season.

You would gain hands-on experience in planning and delivering educational and recreational activities in a community setting, working with children in an informal learning environment, and developing skills in communication, creativity and group facilitation.

Skills

  • Prior child care experience
  • Communication skills - ability to clearly explain activities and interact positively with children & families
  • Organization & planning - preparing craft materials and managing activity time effectively
  • Patience and enthusiasm when working with children & families
  • Basic classroom or group management skills - keeping children engaged and maintaining a safe environment
  • Adaptability - adjusting activities based on group size, age range, or weather
  • Teamwork - coordinating with RV Park staff when needed
  • Basic safety awareness and supervision skills
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in kids having fun

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
