The Town of Drumheller is seeking a Temporary Seasonal Labourer with the Utilities Department.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position involves manual labour using hands as well as common labourer's tools (including but not limited to: shovels, power hammers, cement mixers, pumps, mowers, compaction equipment and light delivery trucks, etc.). Involves the use of light-duty trucks and light motorized equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 or equivalent GED is required.
Performs all duties with a minimum of supervision and works effectively with variable workloads.
- Must be able to read and write in English and able to understand written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to document events and generate basic reports.
- Able to use light hand tools and some specialized equipment.
- Able to perform heavy manual labour in all types of conditions (i.e. wind, rain, cold, snow, etc.).
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- May be required to take training related to the duties of a higher classification of upgading within the present classification.
Hours per Week: 40 hours (Sunday - Saturday) Includes Weekend Work
*Please note that due to the temporary nature of this role, time off will be limited
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: December 19, 2025
Pay Scale: $22.97 per hour
Benefits: As per CUPE 135 Collective Agreement and Town Benefit Policy
