We are seeking an experienced and motivated Historical Centre Manager to oversee the administration, site operations, and project management of the Badlands Historical Centre Museum. This role involves working with the Board of Directors to maintain the centre’s vitality, sharing in-depth knowledge of Drumheller’s history, and ensuring adherence to administrative procedures. The manager will communicate effectively with the public and stakeholders, mentor and train staff, and assist in fund development initiatives.  Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Train, plan, assign, and oversee staff duties in line with policies and procedures.
  • Set deadlines, evaluate performance, and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Oversee cash handling, deposits, invoicing, and maintain accurate visitor records.

Program Delivery & Facility Maintenance

  • Respond to collection-related queries and manage artifact loan requests.
  • Coordinate bookings and deliver jprograms for school, community groups, and tours.
  • Organize and train volunteers.
  • Supervise the care and upkeep of the building and grounds.

Fund Development & Marketing

  • Identify funding opportunities and assist the Board in preparing applications.
  • Promote the historical centre via social media (Facebook, Instagram) and website updates.

Board, Stakeholder Relations & Communication

  • Represent the centre at meetings and community events to promote programs and services.
  • Foster a positive environment for staff, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent communication and relationships with the Board.
