Position Announcement — Service Coordinator, Stettler Hospice Society
The Stettler Hospice Society seeks a compassionate, organized Service Coordinator with a strong commitment to hospice care. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to support families through challenging end-of-life circumstances and ensure high-quality, dignified care for guests.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for families, coordinating care and resources with the hospice team.
Respond to phone inquiries and provide guidance; on-call availability is required for after-hours calls (after-hours volume is typically low).
Maintain accurate documentation and communications using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Monitor the hospice suite occupancy and adjust workload accordingly.
Time Commitment
Average workload is approximately 10 hours per week; hours may increase or decrease depending on guest needs and admissions.
Qualifications
Demonstrated compassion and professionalism in palliative or hospice-related roles.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling.
