Wild Aspen Enrichment Center Inc. is a small but mighty rural childcare centre rooted in community values and a commitment to nurturing growth through connection, exploration, and play. We serve infants (12m+), toddlers, preschoolers, and out-of-school care (OSC) children in a warm, inclusive, and play-focused environment.

Position Overview
As our Program Supervisor, you’ll play a key leadership role—guiding our team and ensuring our programming meets the developmental and educational goals outlined in our program plan. This is a hands-on role; you will be in ratio, supporting children directly across our infant/toddler, preschool, and OSC programs while fostering a cohesive, collaborative environment among staff.

What You’ll Do

  • Support staff in delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences.
  • Ensure daily programming aligns with the goals, philosophies, and values of our program plan.
  • Foster strong relationships with children, families, team members, and the borader community.
  • Help maintain licensing compliance and uphold health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between Directors and Licensing/Health Officers as needed.
  • Participate in-ratio across all age groups as needed, modeling best practices and responsive caregiving.
  • Particiapte in daily routines and responsibilities to maintain the productivity and flow of the Center, including covering lunch breaks, cleaning, and cooking.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture rooted in mutual respect, shared learning, and joy.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 (Children Care Supervisor) certification or eligibility under the Alberta Child Care Licensing Act.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in early learning environments.
  • A deep commitment to community connection and rural sustainability.
  • Strong understanding of play-based learning and child development.
  • A collaborative, flexible, and relationship-focused mindset.
  • Passion for lifelong learning and a heart for working with children and families.
