About the Role: The Morrin Municipal Library is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-oriented Library Manager to oversee the operations of the Morrin Library. The successful candidate will provide leadership in library programming, collections, community engagement, and administration to ensure the library meets the needs of our clients within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day library operations including student supervision
- Develop and deliver engaging programs for all age groups
- Maintain and expand collections to serve the community’s needs
- Ensure compliance with municipal and provincial library policies and reporting requirements
- Oversee library budgeting and financial management
- Promote the library as a hub of learning, literacy, and community engagement
- Coordinate with the Library Board, municipal staff, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a library or public service environment is an asset but not required
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- An interest in library software and technology
- Experience in program development and community outreach
- Familiarity with municipal operations and governance is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- 12 hours a week
- Day and evening
- On going online/in-person training
Compensation:
- Flexible hours to fit your schedule
- Wage negotiable upon experience
