We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Home Attendant, Funeral Home Technician to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to serve families during their most difficult times with professionalism and care.

Position Overview

This role supports families and staff by assisting with funeral services, providing professional transfers of deceased persons, and helping maintain the cleanliness and organization of our funeral home and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Assist during funeral, memorial, and graveside services - Transfer of deceased persons from homes, hospitals, care facilities, and accident scenes - provide respectful and dignified care of the deceased - general office support and record-keeping - cleaning and sanitizing preparation areas, visitation rooms, and equipment - cleaning and maintaining company vehicles - supporting funeral directors and staff as required.

Required Qualifications

valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - ability to pass a Criminal Record Check - comfortable with death and working in emotionally sensitive situations - physically able to lift and assist with transfers - available weekdays, evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed - professional, respectful, discreet, and compassionate - strong communication and interpersonal skills - computer skills considered an asset - prior experience in sales or customer service is a plus, demonstrating strong communication skills - compassionate demeanor with a respectful attitude towards grieving families - strong attention to detail and organizational skills - ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a sensitive environment - must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance at all times - physical stamina to handle demanding tasks throughout the workday.
