Events Activity Specialist

The Town of Drumheller is seeking a customer-centric, creative and enthusiastic individual to fill an Activity Specialist position with our Events team on a temporary, part-time basis for summer 2024.

Position Summary: Supporting the Events Coordinator, this position will assist with the planning and implementation of Town of Drumheller’s events including the set-up and take down of equipment, ensuring the event area is clean, safe and presentable, and engaging and facilitating activities with community members, and visitors at the events. Strong customer service skills and enthusiasm are essential.

Qualifications: The start of the employment and have the following qualifications:

  • Must have a driver’s license
  • Previous experience working with events and sound equipment would be considered assets
  • A passion for working with the public
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and be physically able to safety set up and take down required equipment.

Employment Category: Temporary, Part-time

Hours per Week: Approximately 30 hours per week, generally Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts and includes evening work.

Start Date: Approximately May 1, 2024

End Date: Approximately August 30, 2024

Pay Scale: $17.85/hour as per CUPE 4604 Collective Bargaining Agreement
