Clearview Public Schools invites applications for Full Time Custodian positions to provide custodial support in Stettler, AB starting June 25, 2025. The person may be assigned to some or all of the following Stettler sites: Stettler Complex (Stettler Elementary School and William E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus), Central Office, Outreach Campus and the Transportation Bus Shop.
The successful candidate will be required 8 hours/day Monday through Friday starting at 3 pm and ending at midnight. We are seeking a hard-working, friendly, flexible, and service-oriented individual. The successful candidate will have the ability to foster professional relationships and work collaboratively with both the custodial team and administration to ensure that the schools and facilities are clean, safe and welcoming for all users.
The primary responsibilities of this position include performing thorough evening cleaning of the facility, ensuring that classrooms, offices, hallways, washrooms, and other common areas are clean, sanitized, and ready for the next day. Duties also involve securing the building at the end of the shift and addressing any unexpected cleaning or minor maintenance issues that arise during the evening. This position requires an individual with the physical ability to carry out a range of custodial tasks, including lifting and moving items up to 45 lbs. The role includes responsibilities such as emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, restocking supplies, handling cleaning equipment, and other tasks requiring stamina and strength. Reliable transportation to travel to different buildings, as required, is essential for this position.
The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary of $21.92 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement. This position qualifies for a full benefit package including: health and wellness spending, extended health care benefits, life insurance and pension.
