Position: Animal Care Attendant
Hours: This position will be part time to start until August 15th, then will transition to full time, including some evenings and weekends, if it is the right fit for both the successful applicant and Saving Grace Animal Society.
Pay: $16.50/hour to start with benefits after probation and room to grow.
Start Time: ASAP
Details: Our animal care attendants are responsible for ensuring the animals in shelter have all their needs met daily and are being set up for the future.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning, handling animals (dogs & cats), interacting with the public, training animals and providing enrichment, more cleaning, transport.
Experience in animal handling is an asset.
Knowledge on basic animal needs is required.
Must have a flexible schedule.
Must be able to lift 50 lb.
Successful applicants would be punctual, fast learners, problem solvers, able to work independently, able to work in a fast paced environment and a team player.
Must be able to provide 2 references.
