Sales Representative

Westview Co-op is hiring a Sales Rep, for our HABS division (Hardware and Building Supplies) at our Hanna Home Centre location in Hanna, Alberta.

What you’ll do:

Operating in a diverse and highly competitive retail environment, the Sales Representative, HABS, is responsible for driving sales and profitability. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with others to grow business and identify new business opportunities. The Sales Representative will perform responsibilities in alignment with our Core Values and Brand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
  • Maintain good relationships with contractors
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities in the HABS market and cross promoting other commodities
  • Conduct the following: sales presentations, product demonstrations, on-site measures, project site visits, provide support for estimator team, attend local event, and marketing support.
  • Work with current or prospective clients to make decisions on potential projects and builds, provide ongoing support during the project, act as a liaison between the contractor and clients.
  • Execute on marketing plans and work with estimator team to meet or exceed established sales and margin targets
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the HABS industry
  • Provide feedback on our client’s needs and market trends
  • Provide exceptional service to our Members and Guests and living by our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto
  • Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety
  • Other responsibilities/projects will be assigned as needed.
  • This position will require use of company equipment including company vehicles
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Who you are: Grade 12 or Equivalent with a preference for post-secondary education (business diploma or degree). Passionate and highly motivated candidate with a proven track record in sales. Commitment to ongoing development in the industry and relevant designations/knowledge (building codes, engineering requirements. We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn.

A Class 5 Driver’s License and successful completion of Criminal Record Check is required. The hours for this position will be full time.
