Assignment: Permanent Part-Time position (30 hrs/wk approx)
The successful candidate will:
• Facilitate programs offered thru the Alix Community Resource Centre. Programs could include: Information & Referral, Youth Services, Family Wellness, Administration and more.
• Work with clients through supportive listening, action planning, informed referrals to appropriate services, and follow up duties.
• Actively collaborate with programs and community partners.
• Develop and deliver programming.
• Perform receptionist duties including answering phones, faxing, providing information, filling out client forms, follow up, scheduling, and more.
• Perform administrative duties including assisting senior staff with tasks including programming and evaluation.
• Assist with fundraising opportunities and events.
• Maintain thorough records.
• Attend necessary training and meetings, including those of Bashaw Regional Wellness.
• Have experience in community development and relations, program development and delivery, team and board relations, and building collaborative partnerships.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess a diploma/degree in human/social services and related work experience. Equivalencies will be considered.
