Produce Stocker

Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Produce Stocker (PS) with physical stamina, intent on developing their retail skills. The PS provides exemplary customer service by maintaining and zoning the produce area, stocking, and assisting with sales.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain produce presentation, freshness, and availability; stock, rotate, and merchandise to Walmart standards
• Assist customers with product selection, availability, and preparation tips
• Inspect shipments and displays for quality, ripeness, and damage
• Zone department, rotate stock, check for expired products, and ensure proper signage and pricing
• Follow cold chain, food handling, temperature recording, and safety protocols
• Manage ordering, clearance, pricing, and labeling procedures
• Stock and organize merchandise; set modulars and apply product protection as needed
• Keep displays neat, fully stocked, and remove spoiled or expired products
• Adhere to health, safety, sanitation, and cleaning guidelines.

Qualifications

• Secondary school completion/diploma preferred
• Retail, grocery, or produce handling experience an asset
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Able to work in cold environments and lift up to 50 lbs.; physically fit for frequent lifting, bending, and standing
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to work independently and in teams
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
