The prospective candidate for the kitchen position will find themselves in a dynamic work setting within a food service establishment, encompassing  on-site customer service, restaurant operations, and catering for special events. The role demands adaptability to a fast-paced environment, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a capacity for standing for extended periods. Physical capabilities such as bending, crouching, and  kneeling are essential, along with a keen attention to detail to ensure the  highest standards of performance in the culinary environment.

 Tasks:

  • Taking  orders on POS Systems
  • Bussing  tables
  • Basic  Bartending
  • Organizing  beverage cart
  • Establish  methods to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise  and coordinate the kitchen and activities of staff (1-2 people) who prepare  and portion food.
  • Train  staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate  and order ingredients and supplies.
  • Hire  staff to help in duties.
  • Ensure  food service and quality control.
  • Prepare  budget and cost estimates.
  • Address  customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain  records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare  and submit reports.
  • Prepare  food order summaries for chef.
  • Must  have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.
  • Supervise  and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish  work schedules.

Hours:

  • Seasonal to Golf  Season 2024 (6-month contract) and possible winter contract
  • Candidates must  be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Flexible based on  kitchen needs

Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 5  years or more or equivalent experience, bondable

Certificates,  licences, memberships, and courses:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • ProServe program

Transportation:  Valid driver's licence and own transportation
