The prospective candidate for the kitchen position will find themselves in a dynamic work setting within a food service establishment, encompassing on-site customer service, restaurant operations, and catering for special events. The role demands adaptability to a fast-paced environment, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a capacity for standing for extended periods. Physical capabilities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling are essential, along with a keen attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of performance in the culinary environment.
Tasks:
- Taking orders on POS Systems
- Bussing tables
- Basic Bartending
- Organizing beverage cart
- Establish methods to meet work schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate the kitchen and activities of staff (1-2 people) who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.
- Hire staff to help in duties.
- Ensure food service and quality control.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports.
- Prepare food order summaries for chef.
- Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.
- Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish work schedules.
Hours:
- Seasonal to Golf Season 2024 (6-month contract) and possible winter contract
- Candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Flexible based on kitchen needs
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 5 years or more or equivalent experience, bondable
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
- First Aid Certificate
- Food Safety Certificate
- ProServe program
Transportation: Valid driver's licence and own transportation
