Food Counter Attendant

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, ensuring smooth food service operations, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and customer service within the food industry. Previous restaurant experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and upselling techniques while contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately and make ice cream and other treats as per customer request.
• Prepare food order in the kitchen and do other kitchen related work.
• Arrange food delivery order using FIFO.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; familiarity with food industry standards is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations efficiently.
• Understanding of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to manage high-volume periods effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

• Drumheller, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
