Project Coordinator

The Construction Project Coordinator supports the Construction Project Manager to effectively execute construction projects, with the primary responsibility of managing and maintaining the flow of files,documents, tracking, quality reporting, and other tasks. The ability to interact with people in afast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive and efficient, with ahigh level of professional is mis key to success in this role.

Previousexperience in the construction industry is an asset!

Job Duties

•        Perform a range of administrative servicesthrough all phases of projects, from start-up through construction and close-out.

•        Ensure construction project files and documentsare prepared, shared and logged with a high level of accuracy and within requiredtimeframes.

•        Liaise and follow up with sub-contractors toobtain required information such as daily construction reports, quality documentation,change orders, and close-out documentation.

•        Setup and maintain accurate project informationand data in the computerized project management system

•        Provide regular project status updates to theProject Managers

•        Perform quality assurance inspections andreporting

•        Obtain and assemble project close-outdocumentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, warranties, building permit etc.

•        Provide efficient service to clients, suppliersand other stakeholders by responding professionally and with a sense of urgency.

•        Require the ability to analyze drawings andspecifications.

•        Perform daily production reporting.

•        Understand contractual terms and conditions.

•        Work with the Construction Project Managers withBudgeting and Scheduling for projects. Monitor progress, requisition change orders andidentify any potential risks.

•        Maintain relationships with sub-contractors andclients.

•        Ensure site personnel are provided with properdocumentation related to all the contracts for each project.

Desired Skills and Experience

•        2 plus years of experience providingadministrative support to a team.

•        University or College degree / diploma an asset.

•        Valid Drivers License.

•        Previous roles in professional services,commercial construction, or utilities.

•        Experienced in Microsoft Office suite andPrimavera software. Able to learn new programs quickly.

•        Confidence and ability to interact and maintainstrong relations with clients, subcontractors and peers.

•        Self- motivated with the ability to takeinitiative and work in a fast-paced environment,

•        handling competing demands.

•        High level of professionalism when communicatingvia email and on the phone.

•        Highly organized and a detailed oriented.

•        First Aid an asset.

•        Ability to work under minimal supervision /direction as well as part of a team, sharing information with others

•        Positive attitude

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year
