General Food Services duties + asset experience's as per below:

  • Recent experience working in food services within a commercial or institutional setting
  • Experience in short order cooking
  • Knowledge of food preparation and service techniques (e.g. portion control, measuring ingredients, operating kitchen equipment etc.)
  • Knowledge of food receiving and storing procedures such as First in First out (FIFO)
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures within food services
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and storage practices
  • Knowledge of personal hygiene and kitchen sanitation practices in food services
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to communicate orally
  • Ability to provide on the job training
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 kg
  • Effective interpersonal relationships

Experience is an asset but willing to hire a candidate with no experience.  Candidate should be ready and willing to learn working in a Federal Government Food Safety Services facility & openly minded to adapt to the security procedures and protocols.
